Hoyalawya: IMO, misled is improper in describing what happened, or didn't yet happen, in this case. Misled is synonymous with deceived and that is the last thing Reynolds wanted to do. Something happened to delay or cause a change in direction for whatever he was working on...whether a distribution deal for Freak or something else or both.
Reynolds feels badly about what happened. From my conversations with him, I know he would like to tell us what happened, but he can't at this time. But eventually we will know, I'm sure of that.
According to Reynolds, positive things are happening with NSKY. Is that confined to the Seattle Film Festival? I don't know and he can't say at this time. In a recent exchange of e-mail I had with him, we discussed the stock price drop after his last report to the thread. Among other things, he said, "The irony is that the behavior (of the stock) points up the weakness of short-term or day trading. These people were buying when things were uncertain, and now they are bailing out just when something positive is happening." I believe him and it is ironic. But those with patience will certainly benefit.
In my contacts with Reynolds in the past, he has never been more than a day late with a predicted PR. What possible gain could be derived from him deceiving or misleading us now? In our last telephone conversation late yesterday morning, he said he would no longer take the chance of disappointing shareholders if a predicted PR is delayed. So we will just have to wait until one comes out. And, based on what just happened, I agree with him that it will be better for the long-term stability of the stock.
It's a shame things worked out as they did and he is taking such heat for trying to keep us informed. But I believe him when he says positive things are happening. And I'm going to be around for the rewards. |
