Q! selloff I agree MMike. It is CERTAIN that there will be a big selloff on the news. This is BIG news. There has been a runup from $50 to $80 on Q! based mostly on the news of victory and a deal in the offing. However, the direction of moves during the big selloff is doubtful. It could still be up. The fact is that there will be less unknown about the future and that is a huge plus for Q! That means there will be upward pressure. But as you say, the initial, 'right, grab our profits and let's make like a hockey stick and get the puck out of here' could well cause a price drop. But I bet it will be upwards. But it won't be a doubling or anything like that. Not immediately anyway - everyone who isn't watching HDTV with a racing-stripe and tail-fin remote knows about the deal. Many big time fund managers who need safety and known quantities with no ugly technical speculation will buy in with billions of $$$ they have sloshing around thanks to The New Paradigm. Mqurice Q! $100 31 March [heh! heh!] Dow 16,000 Feb 2002 It was fun to see the Dow reach 10,001.78! That's better than the millennium. Has anyone seen that the worry now is that systems will nearly all work fine and there won't be any big shambles as a result of the millennium bug, but there is going to be a huge shambles because everyone is going to get $5000 cash, fill all the cars with gas, keep off the planes, stock up with food stuffs and generally cause a huge spike in the normally tranquil fractal pattern of life in HDTV land. I think I'll sell all my stocks and withdraw ALL my money from the bank; just to be on the safe side. Maybe buy some agricultural land and some armaments too.
