1.No, not at this early a stage in the development of 157nm lithography. Cymer also has a 157nm laser, but must not spec as well as Lambda's. Something that is correctable.

2.Not a great concern. Cymer just recently refocused efforts towards 157nm lasers, because until the middle of last year it was not viewed as a viable solution. With Cymer having an R&D budget greater than Lambda's sales, you can expect whatever gap that exists to be closed rather quickly.

3.No, the 193nm technology node will not be skipped. 193nm lithography has taken many years to develop and even now problems need to be resolved, such as the availability of CaF2 and stable photoresists. You can expect it will take some years for 157nm lithography to reach the point of 193nm lithography today.
