RE: DELL and quality

I, too, have had serious problems with Dell computers and faulty floppy drives. In my office I have bought Dell, Micron, and Compaq. Dell is now off the list because they have been of consistently lower quality than the Compaq or Micron, and the reaction time of the service side has slowed considerably in the past year. Compaq has been the most pleasant surprise. I have dropped it off the list in the past, but now find it to be not only price competitive but also higher quality than Dell.
