We need sustained volume of 700k shares a day

More volume would certainly help, but I'm not sure that volume is the source of the problem. As a counterexample, look at ETEC systems, a bread-and-butter semi equip that has gone from 14 to 50 since October. Company's valuation: 900+ million. Average daily volume: 315k.

TAVA's average volume? 393k. It's true that in ETEC's case the institutional support is coming from tech funds, but nevertheless TAVA's volume should provide adequate liquidity to a value fund.

Also I'm not sure why a value index fund should care about the low price of the stock, as log as it's listed on the Naz and has good fundamentals. Don't these funds invest simply on valuation and P/E? It is my understanding that these funds couldn't care less what the company does or where it's going, as long as the numbers fit a rigid criterion.

I guess you did mention that there is some institutional buying. So let me just add that if we see reasonably good numbers this quarter we will likely see some of the big boys open up their wallets.

Interested to hear your thoughts.
