ian...re: liquidity... one should never trade any issue be it the underlying, and more so the derivitive if it is not liquid... i assume you flipped the trade and took your loss?.....again one should never sell a put in that which they would not want to own...good luck, ed a. p.s.....how did the put get in such bad shape...perhaps an internet issue???
