Once again Stuart claims there are 800 million shares and once again I will remind him that GE claims there are only 52 million shares authorized and they are all outstanding. In addition, GE claims they have all the financing they need to begin drilling and get this baby moving. Now, if you do indeed have hard information that there are 800 million shares and the company is broke, I challenge you once again to prove it to me. Until you can, you merely sound like someone who would like to scare investors off, drive the price down and pick up shares at a bargain price. I may be wrong about you, and if I am, I apologize, but as a shareholder, myself and others have a vested interest in seeing that the truth is circulated on this thread.
As for GE not being "honest money," well that depends on your definition of honest. GE is a speculation pure and simple. It is not for "investors," it is for gamblers. With all that said and done, I am willing to take this gamble as are others on this thread. I am a mature adult who understands the concept of risk and reward and would never "mortgage" my house as others have obviously joked about. Nobody should ever put more money than they could afford to lose in this type of play - it's that simple. And yet, the chance of reward (in this case one of the biggest rewards ever hyped), remains an attractive speculation. Gambling on football and college hoops or blackjack in Vegas - all things I enjoy - is not for investors either, yet many do it. I don't think we have many widows or fixed income seniors on the "gold and mining plays" thread.
With that said, please see my latest post over at the Golden Eagle thread. I'll repeat one point of it here. I think it would be a good idea to make all future commentary/posts on the Golden Eagle thread. It is a waste of time to have two threads. In addition, newcomers will be able to find the GE thread easier. Finally, the "111 million" title of this thread increases skepticism - for believers and disbelievers alike. Hype is fine, and often beautiful, but when it is the title of a thread, it is going too far.
To Stuart and other skeptics (which includes myself): Read my GE post and feel free to lambast me with information - as long as its true.
