<<< Lambert was referring to Dell building alliances/partnerships with the Oracles, SAPs of the world>>>

Friend, you need to go back and read the article more carefully this time. Dell was not talking about building alliances/partnerships with the Oracle's, SAP's of the world. Talking about ONSITE service and infrastructure. Here is the URL...please read it more slowly this time:)
infoworld.com

<<<Ever hear of DellWare?>>>

Yep, my point was Dell has decided to become more of a mass marketeer. Gigabuys.com is crystal clear in it's model...SELL SELL SELL. Same thing a brick & mortar wishes to do.

<<<Yeah, they could buy CPU with some of their spare change, but that would be a total contradiction of Dell's corporate philosophy and operating procedures. Michael Dell would shoot himself first>>>

Whatever...we disagree here. You indicate impossible. I say possible, but remote..let's move on.

<<<Why not talk about Sears buying CPU.>>>

I suppose we could...I mentioned it in passing a few posts back as a possibility as well. Hey...what about CC and BBY splitting the cost of acquiring CPU and then closing the shops? Instant boost for both by eliminating a competitor. Just kidding, although BBY and CC would like CPU out...it won't happen that way. Funny thing is Halpin's phone is probably ringing off the hook, but we'll never know. Safe to assume he isn't going to give it away and probably rejects any lowball offers (sub $15) in about 2 seconds.

Whatever happens to it (sold or recover) I just hope that I can time the calls well and make some serious cash going up and serious cash on BBY going down with the puts. The, "Competitive pricing concerns" that have lagged BBY's move up in the past could soon be resurrected. All it will take is some type of press from CPU on how they are going to turn things around and a couple analysts comments and wammo...BBY begins it's correction. I feel real good about this play within a month or two and will be positioned accordingly:):):)
