I just thought I would add to the list of investors who may even be considered "old geezers." I started in 1966. During that time I have been a prudent investor as well as a trader ....not a day trader. I am not finding fault with day trading - if you have the time and resources for it. Because you have such a selection of investors here there is no one way that is right.
Even now, at sixty nine years of age I still enjoy "trading." I retired in nineteen ninety one, and thanks to AMAT I have a home both in Michigan and Florida. So why would I ever sell AMAT? Well I did when it got down in the low twenties. I missed it as it progressed back into the sixties and more.
My purchase of Dell is not to be sold! I consider it and Microsoft to be the IBM and General Motors of the sixties. Wishing you all well in your investing. I'll be lurking here everyday.
