VHeadline.com: Wednesday, March 17, 1999 -- Placer Dome
(PDG) is again insisting that it will finance development of Las
Cristinas with its own resources. In a report carried in the
Venezuelan national newspaper, El Nacional, PDG officials say
they've already invested $110 million (of a projected total $575
million) building a camp, drilling probes and administrative costs
at the southwestern Bolivar State site in a Minca JV with the
Venezuelan Guayana Corporation (CVG).
