Susie -- I'm not a basher either -- I am very long TSIG.com. By the sounds of the e-mail you received from Amy, it is no wonder Cohesive needs a little more time to release the My Music Card site for TSIG.com.
Cohesive could build the best functioning website in the world -- but if the data conversion (customers, inventory, and pricing) from the old system to the new is not 99% correct, success would not even be an option -- we would have a disaster on our hands. And converting the old data is not just a clean one-for-one conversion. Cohesive have to make the old data work in the data structures that are designed in the new system. Correct data, static and transactional, functioning in the new system, is a critical success factor.
It is not like Cohesive is building a site, and when it is launched, the first customer is 0000000001 with music card 1000000001. They have to clean the data, convert it, unscrew data that did not convert properly, and rigorously test every possible purchase to payment scenario.
I am eager for the new site!!!! But let's be realistic -- don't rush this complicated launch. When the site is ready, I trust it will be GREAT LOOKING, and it will WORK PERFECTLY -- building credibility for TSIG.com. M.com |
