max, you edited your original post, after I had replied, to include Phil's name as the gent in question.
As for Phil and others, I have no quarrel with anyone who presents a well reasoned, accurately informed, contrarian view. In fact, a few savvy investors have saved me significant heartache in the past by pointing out fatal flaws in stocks that I was ready to enter otherwise. ( I wish they had intervened a few other times, but that is a different story<g>). Intelligently expressed, educated negative viewpoints do all longs a favor by pointing out downsides that we might have missed, and I for one, welcome such posts.
What I resent, and will fight against, are posters who are venting a grudge, twisting facts to support a hidden short position, or mindlessly spouting vague phrases such as "crim stock" or "no business plan". These poses are so transparent that a freshman Investing 101 student with a tequila slammer hangover could spot them.
I hope that this clarifies my position.
Best of luck to you in your investing, max.
