NEWS OUT!!!!!! BUY, BUY, BUY!! <G> New York probes Holyfield-Lewis boxing judges NEW YORK - The Manhattan District Attorney has launched an investigation of the boxing judges who voted Saturday's fight between Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield a draw. Many observers believe Lewis was the clear-cut winner of the fight. Some people feel the only explanation for the decision is that some judges were bribed. The Manhattan D.A. is the fourth authority to investigate the fight. The New York State Athletic Commission, the state Attorney General, and a state Senate committee are all looking into the matter. Lewis and Holyfield shared combined purses of $45 million, while promoter Don King pocketed an estimated $15 to $18 million. The fight was in the works for months, with many boxing fans hoping to finally combine the World Boxing Council title, held by Lewis, with the World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation titles, held by Holyfield.
