Ian, you cannot compare the level of evidence in the Broadrick and Walter case.

Yours is a fair response. But I contend that we must compare the two in order to get anywhere with the latest accusation against our shabby president.

Rape is a brutal crime, and I propose to treat this matter seriously. Under what conditions can we say that allegations like this should be believed? Believing them, what actions should we take?

Juanita Broaddrick's charge, even if true, cannot now be acted upon in any meaningful way. That is, it seems to me, unless we use it to address both the circumstances surrounding the very crime of rape and the means to prosecute such crimes. How might this be done?
