Your problem is that, as you state: "Only a Libertarian would think it sounds like a communist document." However, I never said I THOUGHT it was a Communist document. I said that a large # of people today would, upon reading it, believe it was. The point being, of course, that we are not a well-educated lot and don't know our history or English very well. That, of course, is the outcome of years of gov't education and the gov't sponsored socialization process of letting parents off the hook when it comes to the education of their children.
Furthermore, I pointed out that the Preamble, like most Preambles, is a political statement, and has no bearing on the aim or direction of the document AS A WHOLE, since the document was designed to be evolutionary. Hence, the framers had NO IDEA what the outcome of all this would be. They made VERY GENERAL statements about their hopes.
Once again, rather than sticking to the point, you have tried to demonize me, and make me look/feel foolish. That is counterproductive. |
