Last day of trading for Mar OEX options is
close of business Friday Mar 19. SPX options
end trading at close of business today. These
are CBOE options and further info can be found at
their website. Options on futures at the CME have
another set of rules. Go to the CBOE website or
talk to your broker. These are important details
as time decay can kill any premium quickly. I don't
want to sound unkind or pompous, but anyone doing expiration
plays should know these answers before placing such
a short term trade. It's as important to know when
and why to get out as it is to understand the reasons
for opening the position. I have found through experience
its harder to know when to get out of a trade than
to initially placing one.

I plan to exit the Mar puts before the 4pm EST close on
Friday and potentially roll into deferred positions
as I currently desire protection over the weekend.
