Unlike dd, Ken, I believe every word said on that yahoo post. It's the fundamental problem with SGI - they are total geeks. They have zero people skills, and that resonates throughout the company. As Ed McCracken once said, "our marketing has sucked for 15 years." It's a direct result of the SGI culture. It's funny because Gates is considered such a geek to many, but he's smart enough to know that to succeed he has to overcome being a geek. SGIer's, on the other hand, are the true geeks. They're absolutely consumed by making an esoterically better mousetrap, never mind finding out what people need or trying to sell them on it. Their goal is one-upmanship within the technical community. They should be a University not a high tech company. It's obviously going to take a long time to undo the inertia of 15 years. I'm not sure Belluzo can turn this big, ugly tanker. Thanks for post. Bill
