Bob, let me tell you a little secret. Actually Frank told me this over a year ago and it may have some revelance to what you referring to in the way of the Channel banks capacity.

Frank said in the Fall of 95 that he had found a way to crank to the cyrstal speed to be able to handle 10x the normal capacity of a modem line. I'm not going to go into it on a public domain, for obvious reasons, but this may be relevant to what your discussing here.
