TradeLink announces completion of alliance with GSM
Communications
Aquisition of Wireless USA to proceed
MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 1997-- Tradelink International Inc announced Thursday
that GSM Communications Inc. has completed its purchase of 20% of Bridgeport Telecom Inc.,
the TradeLink subsidiary that will resell long-distance and wireless communications.
With the completion of the final phase of this transaction, originally announced in July 1996,
Bridgeport will move forward to conclude the acquisition of Wireless USA, as previously
disclosed. Lawyers for Bridgeport and Wireless are in the final stages of documenting this
acquisition, and a closing is expected to occur in the very near future.
GSM's principals bring a depth of experience in developing, financing and administering
long-distance reselling, and will be instrumental in recruiting additional wireless and long-distance
resellers to TradeLink. TradeLink's announced plans to begin reselling telecommunications services
under its corporate banner were delayed and are now expected to commence this March.
TradeLink expects that Bridgeport, and the companies to be acquired by it, will benefit greatly
from other TradeLink activities, such as ExpoLink, which is expected to start providing innovative,
interactive voice and other telecom services to the trade show industry this April.
TradeLink is an interactive communications company dedicated to bringing marketing and
communications solutions to domestic and international business.
