A funny St. Patrick's Day story.

St. Patrick's Day at our house is a major event. My wife fixes the traditional meal and, of course, the leprechauns come by for a visit while my wife is fixing dinner. They raise all kinds of hell, toppling over chairs, getting their little green footprints all over the place, turning our dinner drinks green, etc. But they also usually spill and leave behind a few of their gold coins from the pot at the end of the rainbow. Unfortunately, these coins turn into chocolate when they are touched by the hands of mere mortals.

Anyway, it seems the leprechauns were messier than usual this year, and they somehow got this green stuff all over wy wife's pants and her hands. Stephen thought that was really funny. So he told his grandfather when we called my wife's parents last night. Stephen gets on the phone and we said, "Tell grandpa about the leprechauns." So Stephen, in that excited voice so typical of 5 year olds, says "Grandpa. The leprechauns came and they climbed up mommy's pants."

I lost it for a good 5 minutes.
