I am an e*trade platinum member at the moment, based on a certain number of trades done each quarter, but I don't know if that makes a difference in what alerts are sent to my alert box and forwarded to my pager. If you click "Set Alerts" then "Set Delivery Options" all alerts posted in your box can be paged to you. You may be right that one of the special member categories is priority notification of IPO's...that does sound familiar...
