Baltimore Technologies Ltd., of Dublin, Ireland, said last week that it is integrating elliptic curve cryptography from Toronto-based Certicom Corp. into its security applications and tool kits.
Baltimore is among the first companies to provide Java developers with a tool kit to work with elliptic curve algorithms. Other Baltimore products with new elliptic curve capabilities will include the UniCert Certification Authority software.
Also last week, Certicom announced that Xcert International Inc., in San Francisco, will include elliptic curve tools in its Certificate Authority software. And NTT Electronics Corp., of Japan, will add Certicom's elliptic curve technology to its own NSafer software development kit.
Baltimore is at 353-1-605-4399 or www.baltimore.ie. Certicom is at (800) 561-6100 or www.certicom.com.
