Apple Computer Inc to include Iomega Corp zip drive

ROY, Utah, Feb 18 (Reuter) - Iomega Corp said Monday that Apple Computer Inc plans to ship its new Power
Macintosh 8600/200 with an internal 100MB Zip drive as a standard feature beginning in March.

The Power Macintosh line is a leading platform for professional publishing, multimedia and web authoring and is
designed to make it easier for multimedia and web content developers to create interactive applications, Iomega
said.

The Zip drive allows web developers to easily transfer large files and backup critical applciations directly to Zip
disks, Iomega added.

Iomega said Apple also expects to ship its Macintosh Performa 6400 computer with the internal Zip drive as a
built-in feature later this month.

It will be available at retailers such as Circuit City Stores Inc for a limited time, it said.

Its 100MB Zip drive and disks provide 70 times the capacity of traditional floppy disks, giving users unlimited
capacity, increased flexibility and a built-in back-up system, Iomega said.
