Opalapril: 95% of my investments are in the NYSE where fundamentals are the time-proven method of determining a stocks potential.
BBs don't work that way.
They are high-risk (extremely high-risk) high-stake stocks that I choose to play for the sheer thrill. I don't try to find sense in their fundamentals because they don't have any fundamentals. They either take off like crazy or drop to zero. Add the Internet into the equation and you're simply cutting the cards praying for an ace (to use another metaphor). In fact, NO Internet stock makes sense.
Do you consider the valuations placed on some the highflyers to be scientific? No way... but if you bought them 2 years ago (with zero fundamentals to guide you) you'd be very happy today.
I'm gambling that SLEU will bring me more in returns then my tried-and-true NYSE mainstays. but I'm not betting the ranch to use
a more hackneyed metaphor - and I'm not selling my Blue Chips to buy anything riskier than Intel.
I'm not telling you that SLEU is going to make us rich.
I have no f.. idea and nobody else does, either!
My investment in SLEU was a guess based on my best experience -
and no more.
If that's not enough for you to invest with - don't!
It's not worth your aggravation or potential heart failure. There are plenty of stocks out there with the potential to pay you more than a passbook savings account. Buy 'em! You can't go wrong.. (probably).
Good luck with whatever you buy, or sell,
Wally
