David, they didn't mention an amount and I don't remember exactly what it is. But I know it's a big number, enough to change the balance sheet dynamic. Remember, Vons has counter sued so there's no guarantee. No, they didn't drop any hints but I'll be surprised if the suit isn't settled on the courthouse steps just before the trial. To me the issue is whether Vons can get off if they can convince the court that FM didn't cook the meat properly. Given that Vons provided the tainted meat, seems to me that the best Vons can hope for is a settlement based on Vons' perceived % of liability. But, hey, what do I know? Especially given the capricious nature of our courts.
