With regard to Watson's announcement yesterday that the FDA approved their ANDA to make a nicotine cessation gum, there is speculation that Gumtech, International (GUMM) will make the gum for Watson. A manufacturing contract of that magnitude would most likely materially affect Gumtech's revenue and earnings in a very positive manner. I currently own GUMM and am only posting here to convey what I know in case others might want to look at GUMM.

There is no assurance that Gumtech will manufacture for Watson, but when you look at the facts, such as whether Watson or their Circa Pharmaceuticals subsidiary have the manufacturing capability to do it themselves, and whether other companies are certified to manufacture chewing gum with OTC drug additives, it is very likely that Gumtech will get the business from Watson.

There is a GUMM thread here on SI but the message board on Yahoo is more active.
