Globe says Avcorp anticipates losses to continue Avcorp Industries Inc AVP Shares issued 13,873,623 Mar 17 close $2.30 Thu 18 Mar 99 In the News The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, March 18, edition that Avcorp Industries anticipates that losses will continue to its second and third quarters before returning to profitability in the final quarter of the fiscal year ending Sept. 30. The Globe's News Bulletins column reports that Avcorp is ramping up production to meet unexpectedly good demand for the Bombardier RJ-200 and RJ-700 jetliners, and this has led to unexpectedly high startup costs. In the first quarter ended Dec. 31, the company reported a loss of $184,000 or one cent a share on revenue of $18.7-million.
