Thinking about backing up with the truck :)

I don't know how many here also follow the Stockhouse NIR thread, but there are some good posters over there. Here are two recent offerings (apologies to those who have already read these posts):

My broker indicates that the Feb. and March sales are soft compared to January's but he is very bullish about the pipeline of good news and sales coming. I have been feeling negative about the share price but he knows the company is making significant progress on developing " long trem " customers that love the product. He thinks Brad has done a good job of growing this company without taking on significant overhead in the way of salaries and sales force. The long term( 1-2 years ) plan is to be bought out by ICI or some other BIG chemical company, therefor Brad does not plan on hiring a stronger management team. Yesterday should be the end of the heavy selling. I tried to add 20,000 shares on a low ball bid that did not get filled. Good luck for today!

David in Ontario.... I concur on the possability of an eventual takeover, its not unusual for large , established companies to let juniors do all the spadework to develop a new product, and if they survive, then do a buyout. That was my original basis for buying in in september of 97, when you could get all the stock you wanted under 20 cents. Of course, that was when the risk was far greater then than now, all the had was a patent on what appeared to be a good idea, today we have steadily improving sales and market share, with suppliers replacing existing product with Napier. I'll wait, and suspect will be well rewarded for doing so, unless, of course, some totally unforseen events occur, such as some other superior product displaces Napiers. There are no guarantees!

Who knows where NIR will bottom out - but I'm thinking that it's getting near the time to start thinking about backing up the truck and loading up and holding through to a potential buy out in 2000/2001 - while continuing to keep an eye on developments of course.

David.
