So, let's see if I have this right:

The only stocks left at DATEK that can be shorted are the ones that will be certain to bankrupt you if you short them?

Half the stocks on my quote screen at any given time are labeled NS, NM, or both. And even if a stock is not labled NS, that doesn't mean they will let you short it. EFAX, for example - tried to short it the last two days; "No shares available to borrow." It's too late now, the stock has already lost 10 points - which means they would probably find the shares today.

Where do you guys go to short stocks these days? Any suggestions?
