I went to a computer show this weekend. One of the vendors was selling an Iomega ZIP Drive for $119 (no rebate). This was different from the usual zip drives that you normally see. It was all white except for the Iomega logo in red on the front face plate and it was about the same size as a 3 1/4 inch drive. The vendor said that it was an internal ide drive. I have never seen one of these before, could not find one at the local computer stores. Someone said they are drives that are usually sold only to OEM customers but that they should be generally available to all by the end of the month. Has anyone seen or heard anything about these drives? Looked to me like it would make a perfect replacement for my 3 1/2 drive that I haven't used since who knows when.
