No. Order takes same time, but...you need an uptick. You only have to borrow the stock if you are going to short it for longer than the settlement period. If you are trying to short on NASDAQ...good luck if you are American. They never lend out stock. If they do it's because the market-maker is long and planning to squeeze you out within a few days...in which case you really don't want to be short.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>JOKE>>> What is the difference between a prostitute and a market-maker?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Prostitute doesn't change the price when you show her the size.
