You are absolutely right! But believe it or not this is exactly what Sun
has been hpoing for! As I said before I dont think Sun will ever make
any direct money from Java and its JavaBeans COM model. But it
will help Sun to sell more servers, NCs and hardware you could not
even imagine! Microsoft will be coming out with Java Foundation
Classes and developers will be using JFC for all their application
development needs. Its a really cool product from the prototype I
have seen. The more the Java programs and applications the more
servers and NCs will be sold! And guess who will benefit the most (
even more than MSFT, because MSFT has to give away some for
free)? It will be our (at least my!) beloved Sun Microsystems and the
explosive growth of their servers and NCs.
