Someone should fund a study to find out how a child can gather so much of a following and have so much influence.

That is, in our culture/society no matter how smart you are, you usually have to pay your dues before anyone takes you seriously. Doctors have to be residents, lawyers hav to be associates, junior brokers, associate professors etc etc etc. Basically, consumers like to see some age, especially when it comes to financial services. I would love to find out how this kid could garner so much respect. I would like to know what the thought process was for the people who followed him. I would like to know how he ever believed he would find a receptive audience for his commentary.

I suppose my surprise/fascination has sociological and psychological roots.
