Why would anyone recommend such a volatile stock with an upside target
less than 15% above yesterday's close ? If someone came forward with a bid for Lycos of $ 120/share I would give it very serious consideration. I wouldn't think that Mr. Diller would be interested in exercising his option to buy at $ 127/share with an offer to buy Lycos at $ 120/share. What was Mr. Wetherell thinking when he didn't give
Lycos an escape clause if the price of Lycos fell sharply after
the USAI/LCOS merger was announced ? Is Mr. Wetherell really as bright as the financial press gives him credit for ? I think not. Long and disappointed in latest developments.
