Yes, there is a sublety to carrying off public online flirtation that demands much more panache, much greater attention to nuance and detail than the undoubtedly much more tawdry and direct world of PM's. The art of signaling interest without being able to be called on it, all those things. Perhaps they should ban PM's and furthermore not allow posting of email addresses in the profiles to get everyone back on their virtual toes. Why, way back when, you and I were quite titillating to read, if my aging memory serves me. My dear, I am afraid we quite nauseated everyone with public gooiness. If I am not mistaken, complaints about us were probably one of the great impetuses for the very creation of the PM system. We can be justifiably proud.
