Computerworld Survey on pg79 : Software Support IBM : overall satisfaction 4.0 ORCL : 3.6 Novell: 3.5 MSFT : 3.2 CA : 3.1 .................................. ORCL's biggest problem? "It's not IBM," several respondents said. Beyond that, most said it's about as good as a company that isn't IBM can get. ORCL recorded four second-place finishes, more than any other vendor was able to garner. Even more impressive, it scored them in areas that generally came in for a lot of its phone staff and quality of its basic and mission-critical support plans. ORCL's most basic service plans were its biggest strength. That's the area where it recorded its highest satisfaction grade and received nymerous accolades from customers.
