That letter to the JOURNAL spells out the situation most clearly. What it boils down to is that the financial establishment is intensifying its war against the yellow. They will continue to be successful in my judgement until the financial markets enter a lengthy bear market. Not a brief panic like last fall but a sustained bear market. Until then gold probably will continue to impoverish those who who invest in it.
