Hand geometry? I was at San Francisco Interntional to see a loved one go to Hawaii for a week ; While standing next to a door that leads to the flight line area, I noticed a device made by recognition systems . It measures the distances and angles between five points on the right hand. The left side of the thumb, the touchpoint at the junction of the thumb and the rest of the palm and three other points dealing with the finger nearest the thumb and the bird finger. (I know very little anatomy obviously). The device also requires a long pin.
Anybody ever see or hear of something like this?
The ticket checker observed me studying the device and asked if this was a telephone, I replied in Russian Nyet.
