Can some one explain to me why people are so concerned about eating GM foods? They have an enzyme that breaks down round-up. It is an enzyme like about 10,000 other enzymes that the organism makes. Enzymes are proteins, made up of amino acids. These are degraded on cooking and even if active only interact with the intended substrate. I can understand the worry about the gene getting into the weed population and making a super weed, but not consuming it.
