Maurice: Your pricing arguments are like a James Michener novel...they are endless! But I do think pricing as an issue is as valid as can be...when applied to Iridium. What good is 1.5 billion minutes/year of MSS capacity if it's only utilized by less than 2% of its potential subscribers (that's the current rate!)? I want to make clear to anyone at Iridium who's listening (OK, reading...) that even if you have to lose money on the minutes, and even if Motorola has to lose money on the phones, you do yourself more good by having users from a wide cross-section of the population using the phone than by having a 2-star general using it to make a Friday night date, or an oil-rig worker using it to order a helicopter delivery combo pizza. Of course, if the object is to LOSE MONEY, well...I must give you credit for being masters of the strategy... Jack Morgan
