The prices you list at the point of recommendation are actually lower than the ask price on initial trading following the recommendation. Take AAFG for example. Superstock e-mail suggests the trading range between 3.75 and 4.25. It actually opened this morning at $4.75. So if you were among the 50 or so buyers who purchased on the opening, you paid $4.75 plus commission....and immediately thereafter saw the stock drop back to about 4 1/8th...a loss of about 13% plus commission.
I haven't followed these recommendations as long as you, but I think it a more fair analysis to determine a comparison between the price you'd have paid (ask side) on opening and the price you'd get (bid side)at the point of comparison, minus commissions.
I think it may be that the stock is hyped so existing stockholders can get out on a high volumn, rising market price.
