Hi Robert,

It is a matter of fact that the FTC doesn't permit permit commercial vendors to lie in public pronouncements, though puffery is acceptable.
As regards politicians, there are no restrictions on lying in any of their advertisements or pronouncements.

As regards Gore, "Who does he think he's fooling?", seems the appropriate question.

<Be careful of the queue you join,> Queue? Yesterday, I took a walk on my road, 3.5 miles, so excited about my research that I put 16 pages on a clipboard (recycled motherboard) and read the whole distance. Passed by 2 cars, waving and smiling and 6 bicyclists. Stopped to talk to the custom man about GPS and fertilizer/pesticide spread rates. Says the technology isn't perfected yet, so he'll wait. What Queue?

Regards, Ray
