Another good read from Merv over at Stockhouse..........

<<I just thought I would throw my two cents in, for what they are worth, on the latest news from Isaac's Harbour. First of all I'll let you decide if I'm full of "IT" or not on my previous postings. Sorry, I am not a geologist by trade but an engineering technologist who has spent the best part of the past 11 years working in the mining camps of Northern Ontario,Québec, and Nova Scotia on advanced exploration and development projects including Sigma/Lamaque, Grevet,Dome, Detour Lake, and yes "Goldboro". This work has entailed 4 bulk samples and over 500,000 meters of drilling. THe mining industry being what it is these days has forced me to look to greener fields but I am still keenly interested in what is taking place.

I was impressed to read that hole CIH-99-05 had encountered 20 meters of quartz with sulfides but I would like to know the geometry of the hole before I made any assumptions. This hole may be fallowing or crossing the limb of the anticline/syncline at low angle giving a false impression of width, this happened at the Goldboro property in hole BR-89-85. If this is a near or "true width" intersection it is truly impressive as possible resource would be very large. I agree totally with the idea of drilling a whole down the anticlinal axis to get a feel for the vertical extent of the structure. This is a sound and professional plan combined with the holes that have been already drilled into the flanks of the structure.

I am still awaiting a suite of assays from a whole drillhole to see what the system looks like overall, but from what I saw on my vist it is very interesting indeed.

If anyone wants to do a little research on the area the best source of information is the GSC report Memoir 385 " The Gold Fields Of Nova Scotia" circa 1929. Another excellent source of information is the Nova Scotia Department of natural Resources and in particular Paul Smith who is considered an expert on the subject of Nova Scotia Gold.

Anyway I'm waiting with the rest of you for numbers now.>>
