Packers sign LB Bernardo Harris to three-year extension GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- The Green Bay Packers today signed middle linebacker Bernardo Harris, the team's leading tackler each of the last two seasons, to a three-year contract extension. Financial terms were not disclosed. Harris had 121 stops, including 79 solo, and two sacks last year after posting 119 tackles in 1997 as a first-year starter. The 27-year-old Harris won the starting spot at middle linebacker during training camp in 1997 while incumbent George Koonce was rehabilitating a knee injury. The Packers have since moved Koonce to left outside linebacker.
