Doesn't really matter why the company does the buyback, just important to have one.

That's true, but I guess your no fan of Peter Lynch or Buffett (i.e. buy and hold).

I must be a "babe in the woods", because I believe shorting stocks is the dark side of the market. Just can't do it.
