BeautyBuys.com To Become a Featured Store Within Lycos'
"Health & Beauty" Shopping Network

Synergy Brands, Inc. (Nasdaq:SYBR) announced today that the
company has signed one-year agreement with Lycos, Inc. (Nasdaq:LCOS),
the second most visited hub on the Internet and the world's largest
online community, wherein BeautyBuys.com, Synergy's online health and
beauty store, will become a premier advertiser on Lycos' Women's Web
guide. Under the terms of the agreement, BeautyBuys.com will have a
top-level placement on the Women's Web guide.
In addition, BeautyBuys.com will become a featured online store
within both the "Fragrances & Perfumes" and "Cosmetics" areas of the
"Health & Beauty" Shopping Network. Lycos is expected to launch the
"Cosmetics" area in April, 1999.

opportunity to market BeautyBuys.com to the large population of online
