Good points, Mootman. If Cascade's $10,000 IP Navigator kills sales of Cisco's $80,000 high-end routers, might not Cisco revisit its plan to buy Cascade? I believe Cisco offered more than $30/sh (CSCC was then trading at a pre-split of 85), which offer was rejected by Cascade about a year ago. Cisco has since purchased Stratacom, an IP switcher source. But, if Cascade is still taking router business away, a renewed buyout offer may be in the offing. Comments?
