Wordcraft Releases Network Software for Sharp Electronics

IRVINE, Calif., March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Wordcraft Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: WORC) announced that it has now released its E-Z Print for Networks software which operates Sharp's new multi-function Frontier Series Fax Machines.

This software technology, redesigned and developed by Wordcraft Systems, Inc. specifically for Sharp, will enable the end user of the Frontier Series devices to print documents from local area networks (LANs) using any Microsoft Windows application. The printer resolution of these devices is up to 400 dots per inch (dpi). The majority of Sharp's "High End" fax machines offer a PC-Fax interface as a standard feature.

Wordcraft is also a manufacturer and distributor of HydraFax, a powerful network and standalone fax software system which operates over 90% of Multi-Function Fax Machines manufactured today. These machines allow users to Fax, Print, Scan and Edit documents directly from PCs. The company supplies HydraFax software to a select group of major office equipment manufacturers and or their dealer networks including: Brother, Canon, Danka, Dex, Ikon, Konica, Lanier, Minolta, Mita Copy Star, Munroe Systems, Muratec, NEC, Omnifax, Panasonic, Pitney Bowes, Ricoh, and Sharp Electronics.

In addition, the company will attend a regional trade show and conference, held on March 22-24, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, hosted by the American Water Works Association in connection with its SWIM/TRIM software. The company plans to attend over 30 national and regional business trade shows and conferences in 1999 to market and distribute its software products effectively.

SWIM/TRIM, acronyms for Sewer Water Infrastructure Management and Tool Room Inventory Management, are work order management and inventory control software products designed to allow water, wastewater and reclaimed water utilities to computerize their data. They have been broadly designed and will be modified for the Gas and Electric Utilities and Parks and Recreation Departments as well.

According to the American Water Works Association, there are in excess of 50,000 Water Utilities in the United States alone. It is estimated that the combined software market of Water, Gas and Electric utilities is in excess of $1.0 billion. The company is now marketing its SWIM/TRIM software worldwide and has received inquiries from Saudi Arabia, France, England, and others.
