today announced that U S WEST Voice Messaging customers are the first in the nation
to benefit from Lucent Technologies' Message Send PlusSM service, a convenient way
to share good news with family, friends, business associates and customers in other
cities or states throughout U S WEST's 14-state region.
U S WEST is the first company to make available Lucent's Message Send Plus service,
which allows U S WEST customers to benefit from the integration of Lucent's
Messaging Link technology with U S WEST's Voice Messaging service. Lucent's
innovative technology enables U S WEST Voice Messaging customers to send a single
message to other Voice Messaging subscribers throughout U S WEST's region. With
the service, customers can broadcast information such as new addresses and phone
numbers to friends and family, schedule conference calls and meetings with associates,
or even plan family reunions. Sending one message to multiple recipients can complete
these traditionally time-consuming activities quickly and simply.

messages, whether you're alerting co-workers or community interest groups about a
