Capital One is a solid company, not an InterNut. In other words, it is valued on earnings and management's ability to grow the business. As that is the case, who really cares if it splits or not. Buy the company, you'll be glad you did. So you buy 50 shares instead of 100, big deal.

Why is it that credit cards are any less of an internet play than FDX BTW? COF is king. Enough of my musings.
